There is famous saying in this context, that is, “as long as you have heads, you’ll always have headaches!” It may be attributed to the “hero’s curse” with which the human race has been blessed with! However, we often club all headaches under the same banner and fail to distinguish between them. However, all headaches are not the same. Each headache is peculiar and has its own set of characteristics and stems from their respective sources. They all may appear to be the same and stimulate similar kind of pain but vary in their origin and location.

The different types of headaches faced by the human race are enlisted below:

Chronic Tension-type headaches: This kind of headache usually occurs because of stress or work-related fatigue. However, the primary cause for this type of headache is depression which may spring from either psychological and physical factors or the presence of both. Interestingly, both men and women are suffering from this but women are found to be more prone to these headaches. This fact has been established from the recent spate in increase in medical help by women from doctors and health specialists. It is more likely to start at the tender age of 20.

Cluster Headaches: This kind of headache is sporadic and sequential in nature. When this type of headache strikes, there are no symptoms or any kind of warning signs and it lasts for 30 to 45 minutes and then disappears all of a sudden. However, its dreadful aspect is that it may reappear without any warning, again during the day. The attack usually may repeat itself up to four times a day. These headaches usually happen in the spring or autumn months alongside allergies. The victim groups’ age may vary from 20 to 45 years old. Astonishingly, it may vanish all of a sudden for many years at stretch by itself.
